the moments that make you realize how amazing God really is are the moments that i wish would be on repeat forever. oh believe me, i know God's love for me is beyond words that i can even say, but it's the moments that give you chill bumps, bring you to your knees and make you cry because his love is that powerful is what makes my heart beam x09822746.
this past sunday, i was in a situation where i had seen something that i had tried so hard not to see for the past three months. one of those moments where your stomach turns to knots, your eyes automatically start welling with tears, and you would do anything to turn back time for just two minutes so you could choose to take a different path. i started praying, hard heart felt prayers and begged God to let my body be stronger, to handle the obstacles that i know i'm going to have to face. obstacles that i know are going to make me just want to cry my eyes out and rewind time.
i text my friend rdj, and just started venting. my thumbs were texting like a race horse. "why do i put myself in a situation where i knew this could happen? why in the world do i let it bother me as much as it does?" i parked my car, and let all of my emotions run free. (i'm pretty sure the kid who rode by on a bicycle probably thought i was absolutely weird for having a breakdown in public.)
i was mad, upset, hurt, and confused. my mind was completely in left field, and i got a text message that read the following:
"all i can say is that my preacher told us this morning that the key word in life is "next." If something bad happens, move on, don't dwell on it. there's nothing you can do about it cause it's the past. whatever happens next, make something good out of it."
the words i exactly needed to hear. my eyes filled with tears again, i felt God's love take over my whole body. this is one little bump of this amazing journey he has me on, he's blessed me with amazing friends who know exactly what to say at the right time. the "next" step of my journey is one that will bring me one step stronger.
thank you rdj.
