i promise...

that i'm not the worst blogger in the world.
...okay maybe I am, but i do promise that i have good reasoning.

& to disappoint you some more, I'm actually doing this in my CIS class, which is pathetic. i'll go ahead and admit it on myself.
which means, i don't have any pictures to share, or long stories to tell due to the fact that my teacher might walk over at any given moment and i'll be so intrigued by writing this post that i'll forget to minimize the screen and get in trouble for not duplicating and aligning objects. sheesh.

all in good time my friend. it shall be happening soon.

over and out.

friday mornin' wind is blowin'

friday morning. nine thirty am.
sitting in my parents bedroom, in complete silence except for the three ticking of watches i can hear beside me on the dresser. one laying at my feet and the one in my moms travel jewelry bag, making a constant repeating sound, the kind you move your feet to every time the loudest tick makes its turn. my two best friends sleeping soundly, one in my "cloud feeling" like bed upstairs, and the other downstairs in the office sleeping on the trusty 'ol blow up mattress, which 50% of the time i find deflated by the next morning. let me go check on that.

disturbia, possibly one of the best movies of all time. every time the best friend c.r.marti comes home, we watch it at least three times...i'm not kidding. we've almost got the lines down to a T. and we still crack up during the funny parts, like seriously bust out laughing. that's when you know it's one of the best movies ever.  we talked the other best friend marcie gale to come watch it with us, which is a huge accomplishment. this girl will stay as far away as she can from scary movies. but with three people huddled on a couch, the fear slowly died except for the jumpy parts, which marcie caused the whole couch to make a jolt due to the unexpected jumpy scenes.  love her.
we shut our eyes at around five. and quite frankly i have no idea why i'm awake right now,  possibly because marcie takes up the whole bed. if i got a nickel for everytime i asked marcie to scoot over in the middle of the night, i swear i'd be rolling in the dough right now. & every time before we go to bed we argue about that subject, never fails. true best friend love right there.

i also feel like this is a rambling post, which is awesome.

and alsooo, lent started wednesday! i decided to give up facebook. which is super sad and pathetic, because it truly is hard. but i'm holding strong!

happy friday! oklahoma post coming asap, try to restrain yourselves. :)

firecracker coming undone.

the moments that make you realize how amazing God really is are the moments that i wish would be on repeat forever. oh believe me, i know God's love for me is beyond words that i can even say, but it's the moments that give you chill bumps, bring you to your knees and make you cry because his love is that powerful is what makes my heart beam x09822746.

this past sunday, i was in a situation where i had seen something that i had tried so hard not to see for the past three months. one of those moments where your stomach turns to knots, your eyes automatically start welling with tears, and you would do anything to turn back time for just two minutes so you could choose to take a different path. i started praying, hard heart felt prayers and  begged God to let my body be stronger, to handle the obstacles that i know i'm going to have to face. obstacles that i know are going to make me just want to cry my eyes out and rewind time.
i text my friend rdj,  and just started venting. my thumbs were texting like a race horse. "why do i put myself in a situation where i knew this could happen? why in the world do i let it bother me as much as it does?" i parked my car, and let all of my emotions run free. (i'm pretty sure the kid who rode by on a bicycle probably thought i was absolutely weird for having a breakdown in public.)
i was mad, upset, hurt, and confused. my mind was completely in left field, and i got a text message that read the following:
"all i can say is that my preacher told us this morning that the key word in life is "next." If something bad happens, move on, don't dwell on it. there's nothing you can do about it cause it's the past. whatever happens next, make something good out of it."
the words i exactly needed to hear. my eyes filled with tears again, i felt God's love take over my whole body. this is one little bump of this amazing journey he has me on, he's blessed me with amazing friends who know exactly what to say at the right time. the "next" step of my journey is one that will bring me one step stronger.

thank you rdj.
"It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect." -Psalm 1:32

and happy valentines day :)

a wall full of gum.

you know the weekends that are jammed packed full you cant seem to catch a breath, but you would do it every single weekend all year long? well, last weekend was most definitely under the "can't catch a breath, do it every weekend" category.
let us recap:

i was reunited with my best friend. and beanie.
we made brownies at one in the morning. and yours truly got in trouble for eating the batter.

stayed up till four in the morning watching videos and pictures from our younger days when we thought we were hip and cool.
like this...
march, 2008.

after two hours of sleep, i woke up at 6 to go to the state wide Young Life leadership conference with the county's Young Life leaders :)
two words, a blast. and we met up with our best friends Sidney and Thomas! who are YL leaders in Rahhtown.

"hey, you have a car. you have yourselves, come to raleigh!" stated sidneylee and t.yo, so guess what mals, tyler c, and myself did saturday night? :)
raleigh bound.
-ate us some amazing noodles & co.
-ben and jerrys & starbucks
-the game of things.
-waffle house.

my friend's are absolutely awesome.
and unexpected plans to take a road trip last minute makes everything better.

doo-whop and hooligans.

well hey blogger. long time no see.

recap of this weekend? ditto.

friday
have you ever woke up and had a craving for a tall vanilla bean frappuccino, and some extra dough in your pocket? i did!
so i did my chores, ate my ramen noodles, updated the tunes, jumped in the car, and headed to big 'ole Winston.
two HUGE bags full of my old clothes that have been adding up for the past couple of years took up my whole back seat, and i was trucking to Plato's closet, where they so nicely look through you're clothes and pick items to re-sell in their store, and PAY you for your old clothes that they decide to take.  Sound dreamy to me.

so i lugged my two huge bags in the store and they looked through my clothes as i shopped in their store.  let me tell you, i fell in love with their shoes. the fact that someone else's feet had been in them kinda grossed me out, but i loved them. and i fell in love with these...
except blue.
yes, yes, yes i know. when i told jay about how they were "Jordans," the first thing he said was "gangster." pretty much sums it up.

when they called me up to get my "loads of dough that i get to put in my pocket," i was beyond thrilled to hear that out of my two huge bags of clothes they only picked 3 items that came to a refund amount of $7.75. yes, $7.75. note the sarcasm

to turn around my dough disappointment my best friend surprised me in winston by coming home from college, ate some chic-fal-a,  and bowled a wonderful score of 39.

saturday
-loads and loads of laundry.
-lots of laziness.
-and...
nothing is better than a good looking ashton kutcher and a hilarious movie.

if you haven't seen it, i recommend it!

sunday
if you live in the 336, you know that today was possibly the best day of the year so far.
maybe because i wore shorts and a t.shirt all day, on January 30th, yesssss.

a day of being at the river, riding the four wheeler, and being able to feel like you don't have to wear socks for a change was positively nice.

happy monday!

the big w.f.

waffle house. or more commonly known to be the midnight eating joint of my fabulous friends and I.

it goes like this...
one. someone will send the group message saying the following.."meet at school at 11:30 for waffs."
two. 92% of the time, everyone shows.  i mean who wants to miss out on waffle house?
three.  we all get the exact same individual orders every. single. time. (well 99% of the time.) mine, chocolate chip waffle, hashbrowns..capped.
four.  it's always super fun and memorable.

so let me tell you about our waffle house trip the other night.
(friday december seventeenth.)

seven of my best friends and i meet at the usual late at night and make our way to waffle house.  this is filled with our fabulous voices screaming Christmas songs, we make quite a vocal group.

we sit in our usual booths, order our usual food, and then sit, drink our drinks, and talk. (about the most fun, random, things.)  as we're sitting there, marcie gale leans over and whispers in my ear "lets go play hide and seek in wal.mart."  now...at first i gave her the "omgs what are you thinking" look. so next she says to the table "guys i have an idea.." and i stepped in and said "now remember when she says this, that we're freshmen in college."  as she told the table her idea, everyone was silent for about 3 seconds..and my wonder friend tyler obes said "that's a GREAT idea!"  it was absolutely hilarious.

we went with the intentions to play, but we all got distracted and forgot to go look for each other.
that's my friends and i for ya.

i recommend waffle house for anyone needing a delicious hearty breakfast meal. try it out my friends.
